A high-level music instructor and active performing musician
Meet the 2022 US National Scottish Fiddle Champion!
Sarah Lynn is a classically-trained professional musician from Wellington, Ohio. She received her Bachelor and Graduate Performance Diploma in Baroque Flute Performance from Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. While in school, she performed with well-known orchestras around the East Coast and performed daily at Springwell Retirement Community where she was the Musician In Residence. During the summers, she taught baroque flute and recorder at the Mountainside Baroque Academy.

Sarah moved to Austin in 2021 and immediately broke into the live music scene. Performing with several bands around Austin, Sarah is an active performing musician on multiple instruments. She also volunteers her time to perform solo concerts at retirement homes.

Sarah’s greatest passion for music lies in folk and traditional styles. She regularly attends Irish Sessions at BD Riley’s, writes in a myriad of folk styles, and is an avid Scottish Fiddler. She was recently a finalist for the 2022 Senior Scottish Performing Arts Classic Fiddle Competition.

​Since her move, Sarah has taught thousands of lessons to students ranging from age 6-60. She is an open-minded, flexible teacher, determined to work with the needs of every individual student.
